Comfort wise, Mustang is really good. I have their Solo Tripper seat. Looks great and it much more comfortable than the stock seat.

Said it before, will say it again - not only is every seat different, every butt is different too. 10 yrs ago I had a Honda Shadow - hated the seat from day 1 and replaced it within the first 1000 miles with a mustang that I loved. Buddy also had a Shadow he put 80,000+ miles on including many long trips with the stock seat. Said it couldn't be more comfy.

Same buddy put a Corbin on his Fatboy and quickly hated it. I rode his bike and agreed - a sheet of plywood would have been softer. Fast forward to recent times, g/f bought a 07 Fatboy that came with a corbin solo w/backrest. I loved it! It's too wide for her (short legs) and it won't fit on my 09 Fatboy or I'd have already appropriated it.

Every year during Bike Week and Biketoberfest JP Cycles does seat fittings. They'll put the seat you pick out on your actual bike so you can see what it feels like. Not sure if they allow demos or trail periods, but some manufacturers will let you return them.

You are allowed more than one seat, it takes moments to swap. So you can have one lean an' mean for looks when struttin' your stuff and a Mustang Wide Touring Vintage for serious trips and comfort. Sorted!
