Quick release is always nice if you want to take it off for around town

Yeah, I have to agree with the others on this one. We took a prototype of our 1/4 Speed Freak fairing to Sturgis last year and I got to test it for the week, commuting half an hour to and from our vending location. (Picture below is on our Dyna. Sportster fitment will be available too). I felt that, not only did it take the pressure off my chest, but it also seemed to streamline the wind flow coming over the top. I wore a 3/4 helmet and had little to no buffeting until I got up into the 80 plus mph range. We are currently building a batwing style for Dynas and Sportsters too, and I still like the 1/4 better for wind management over the batwing with the short windshield. Now, get a tall windshield on the Batwing, add a stereo, and you have an entirely different animal Not only do you get greater protection over the top, but around your hands as well.

i got this fairing from HD, i got it mainly for style and to hide the ugly speedo.
i was hoping for a tiny bit of wind deflection, but didnt get much from that.

It does look pretty sweet, I think. It might be kicking some bugs over you instead of into your face at least, probably not much for wind deflection though...

I Like the flyscreen, but anything: bags, shields, backrests takes away from the stripped look. Practical? Hell yeah, just not on my Sportster

Just make sure you replace the protein with something. I haven't tested it, but protein deficiency is a definite side effect of a good shield/fairing I hear...
