funny thing happened
Some time ago, I read a thread by outdoorgirl57. She was talking about the new cycle shack slip-ons that she had bought for her bike. It influenced me into buying a set. I really like them for their looks, performance. One day, not too long ago, I was in a parking lot and set off a car alarm. It was the first time that I actually heard it happen. It gave me a good laugh. I wonder though, how many other times this may have happened when I was not aware of it. Mind you however, I don't go around looking to do this on purpose or, have ever wanted to do it on purpose. Just thought it was funny.

If you want to set off alarms in the next County take a little ride on my 1996 EVO Dyna WideGlide. LoL....
It's running Hooker stepped tuned drag pipes (without baffles), and it is one loud son-of-a-gun...
Here is a little audio/video of it at idle, which was recorded with a old Sony digital camera.
Believe me, the sound quality captured by the little mic in this camera doesn't do the bike justice. [8D]

LOL! Well, I'm glad you are enjoying them! Ya know, I have yet to seta car alarm off with mine. There is a pick-up truck on the street beside my work that I used to set off every morning with my Suzuki. (I had the stock pipes drilled on it.) The CS don't set it off??? Weird...because the CS are MUCH louder. Guess it isn't the right amount of vibration and the right pitch.

I also have cycle shack slip ons. The funniest example I have of settting off car alarms, was when I rode downtown, and parked in a high rise concrete parking garage. On my way out, alarms started to be set off, so then I had some fun with it. I was parked on the 6th level, so, I just started bumping the throttle all the way down. This garage is next to a large hospital, so LOTS of Dr. vehicles with alarms in there. When I exited the garage, it was funny as hell to hear ALL of those alarms going off. I think I set off about 30 of them....hehe.
SinceI completed the Stage 1, with the Screamin Eagle a/c. I accidently set off car alarms all the time now. But the garage incident was cool.
