What riding gear do you have/wear in good and/or poor weather?

RE: What riding gear do you have/wear in good and/or poor weather?
I have been riding for long enough to understand that there are certain things that may happen on the road that unescapable. I have had several wrecks that were not my fault, and several that were. I have always worn a helmet as it is the law in CA. I have started wearing a half helmet since the acquisition of my Harley. My brain has gotten soft. I also have an Arai rx7 rr4 helmet that I wear on long trips. I like my noggin, and I have a $700 head, or maybe more...I wear a leather jacket or a denim jacket when it is too hot. I know that denim shreds immediately on impact on pavement, but oh well. I am not so arrogant as to think that I am too good for an accident. I ride much slower than I used to now, and "cruise." That is why I got a Harley. May we all be blessed by God and be safe from future accidents in this insane world of cell phones, GPS's, and PDA's.

You know, I posted this in fun to see what others like to wear while ridin their scoot, but since posting this I came across another thread with a link tosome good reading. You all should read this if you appreciate your riding skin. I lost a friend to a wicked wipe/road rash 20 years ago, and feel this girls pain. Was worth reading so I reposted this for anyone who cares to read it. Heres the link.

I have an FXRG leather jacket that I wear ALL the time when riding heat or cold. It's my favorite piece of riding gear. I wear gloves, 3/4 helmet, denim pants and heavy logger boots also at ALL times.

In cold or bad weather I wear an FXRG leather jacket, chaps and boots. When weather's good, depending on where I'm going, I'll wear jeans, sneakers (or boots),a T-shirt, and sometimes my leather vest. I always keep the leather jacket and Frogg Toggs in my saddle bags - just in case...

I'm pretty new at this, but like to think I am an informed consumer. Also, I am 40 and I think I look pretty damn good for my age and I want to keep it that way. So here's the gear I bought:
AGVStealth Full Face Helmet;
Triumph vented armoured gloves for warm weather riding;
Tour Master Elite winter gauntlet gloves for cold weather riding;
HD Ladiesfully armoured leather jacket (can't remember the model, but one of the more expensive ones);
Fox Creek Leather Chaps; and
Tour Master ladies rain gear.
I intend to wear my full face helmet and leathers at all times while riding my bike. In the summers, I'll just wear something light weight underneath. Road rash is just not something I'm interested in having scars from.
Keep the shiney side up and Happy New Year.

Polls and Threads such as this are posted frequently on all motorcycle related boards, and as you can see from reading various posts, the preference in individualriding 'gear' is different for each person.
As everyone knows, there are risks involved with just about any activity, and the amount of risk a person is willing to take while riding a bike varies greatly. The only way to be risk free when it comes to motorcycles is to never ride one, but that's a whole different story.
I for one could never be happy wearing a lot of gear; full plated leathers from head to foot, full face helmets, etc., but that's just me.
I enjoy feeling the elements when riding, the sun on my skin, the temperature differences when riding down a hill into a valley, and the muchover used phrase; the wind blowing on your face and through your hair.
But I respect everyone's preference when it comes to riding gear, helmets, and all other 'safety related items'.
I take a risk everything I fire up a Harley and hit the road, just like everyone else, and I am comfortable taking this risk. After 35+ years and 600,000+ miles sitting on Harley'sI've formed opinions thatare hard to change when it comesto my own personal safety,just as everyone else will come to their on conclusions dealing with risks and safety.
Be Safe, and always ride in a defensive mode...

Warm weather..... jeans, boots, helment, no short pants in the summer.
Cold weather 25degs ........ leather jacket, maybe a sweatshit or two,chaps,boots, balaclava hood, full face helment, gloves, as the temp rizes I adjust the clothing.
