Bike won't start, just clicks
Went to start my bike today and all it would do is click.. Checked the voltage of the battery and everything was good there.. The battery is only 6 months old.. Don't know if its the starter relay, solenoid or the starter all together.. Is there anyway to test this stuff so I'm not wasting my money on one thing or the other.. Please help, got a trip coming up to myrtle beach and need to get this issue fixed asap..

Use a test light or volt meter, check for voltage at the starter where the battery cable connects, try to start and if the voltage drops or the light goes out you have a connection problem. The small wire to the starter solenoid should have voltage when trying to start only, if not that could be, switches and or relays.
check all battery connections first.

Just had this same issue on the g/f's Fatboy. Check battery cables first - clean, and firmly connected.
Our issue was the power lead to the starter (at the starter end) - nothing wrong but some corrosion. Just enough to break a good connection. Pull the wire, clean everything off, reattach, start, smile, ride, smile, smile.

Yeah a battery at 20°c reading 12.0 volts is dead.. Mine was at 12.77 after trying to start it for a little.. Then I actually pretty much drained it, so I put it on charge for awhile.. The year of my bike is 05..

The relay (inside the fuse block area) is a common automotive relay, you can get one at any auto parts store for just a few bucks, if you want to replace it.
