Default The 48 front end - conversion?

So, I've got an absolute LOVE for the 48 front end. I've got a roadster.

I've talked to a few guys about it, and wanted to see what the general consensus is...

To my knowledge, there's not a conversion kit to get that fat front end look - correct me if I'm wrong.

In that case, all I'd need to do is space out the forks and get a bigger tire, right?

Triple tree kit from Vulcan Works, wheel & tire. That's pretty much it.

The bike in my sig pic has the same size wheel & tire the 48's do but still has the stock narrow glide front end.

Mreed Sweet bike in your sig. Is it not finished yet? I only ask because I see no drive belt or chain on it.

Or oil tank & brakes lol. That's my wife's project. She doesn't come out to the garage much so it'll take a while to finish it. I just rebuilt a 75 yr old springer for it though.

I talked to the dealership about it. For all of the brand new hardware to completely replace the front end with actual 48 equipment would cost $2300. That doesn't include the fluids or labor.

That is ridiculous!!!!! The Vulcan kit is $500... And you just need to find a used rear sport mag on eBay for like 80-100 bucks

Why not just sell your old one and get a 48?

I like my conversion but would not do that to a Roadster...you have the best Sportster ever made already.
