Want to change Pipes. Good performance/sound?
Right now I got Screamin' Eagle II Pipes on my sporty and they are a little too quiet for my taste. I don't want anything wide open like Shot gun pipes. Something with baffles were I won't warp my valves but something nice and snappy (Lound pipes saves lives) I been looking at a few 2-1 sets or dual slip ons. $400-$500 budget

Slip-ons
I'm runnind a set of Vance and Hines HS slip-ons with the quiet baffles,(they have packing so they have a deeper sound) and a set of x14ied's. I love them, got'em from Dennis Kirk for $150 and another $50 for the quiet baffles. They look just like drag pipes when you set the heat shield at the edge of the muffler.Good performance.

v&h straightshots on mine... sound great and this bike runs! the air sucker and techlusion tfi turner also help with that.
i bought baffles for the pipes but never installed them cause i dont want to change the sound... took me a few days to get used to them, but once i did no way would i ever change.
i just love riding through parking lots with these pipes!!
btw, agree about loud pipes save lives- never had anyone pull in front of this bike, but happens all the time with my wife's stock pipes.

My buddy has a 2 into 1 on his Sporty and it sounds pretty darn good!! Not super loud till you get on it, and when he lets off the throttle its a kinda raspy, glasspack kinda sound... He hasn't been able to find that same one from the manufacturer anymore though... Hard Krome is the company "Double D" is the name of the pipe....
