Couldn't have summarized better - great transformation. Just make sure your brother mounts the speedo low (side-mount) so you keep the clean look...

What seat are you using?
I also have a 94' what did you do with the wiring for everything you took off and the tach. cable, did you just disconnect it or did you have to do something else?

Thanks, wanting to do some of this to mine.

Great looking bike, you've done well.

Everything is subjective........Some things to think about.

At this stage I would look at bringing the coils to the center of the motor (with a relocation change). Then balance out the front fender to complement the rest of the bikes design.

All our bikes become a canvas, and show the artful designs of form and function of each individual artist. Again great looking bike.

Bman, the wires I cut out what I wasn't going to use and removed all the plastic connectors and soldered direct what I was going to use. Such as the headlight. The plugs for everything was inside the headlight housing, they are gone, there are only 3 wires going into it now, the housing is off an 07 sporty because it didn't have the great big rubber plug like the one the 94 had, the original headlight was a freaking God awful nightmarish mess, I cleaned it up. The seat is a LaRosa off eBay, I took the springs and threw them away, made a couple mounts and welded to the frame and bolted the seat down solid. I'll get you some pics of that as soon as I'm able. But mounting solid I was able to get the height of the seat just the way I wanted it. I also took some aluminum sheeting and fabbed up a cover that goes under the seat to hide the wiring, costed me very little, painted it black. The ones you can buy are bloated in price.

Steve, the front fender is only there because my brother is going to buy the bike and he wanted it on, personally I was not going to even have it on as I wanted both tires out there in the open, basically I wanted a pretty naked bike, so there is a lot more there still I'd like to toss. I'm still piddling with it and tweaking the look.

Anyway we could get some close ups of that air cleaner set up? I dig it.
