Default 2012 sportster 1200c handlebar

Looking to replace my stock handle bar on my 2012 sportster 1200 custom. I need it to come back another 1" to 2" and already have installed a reduced reach seat to get closer to the stock handlebar.

Local dealer suggested I order the XL pullback handlebar (part #56021-04B) but it doesn’t look any different than my stock handle bar from the photos in the Harley parts book. Anyone replaced their stock bar with the above mentioned XL pullback handlebar?

Besides the pullback, how is the width and height? I had the same bars on my '06 1200C, they were too narrow for me, otherwise OK. I just installed bars that were stock on the Sportster "Sport" (56113-98).

These only have a couple more inches of pullback, but to me, it's a big difference. So much so that I'm having trouble getting comfortable with them and am already thinking about taking them off. When looking for more pullback, look also at width, if the width doesn't increase, then you are looking at more of a bend angle, which you may or may not want.

You might find what you are looking for in another model's stock bars, you can check this link for the stock bar sizes: http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Import...ckBarsOne.html

And if you want HD bars, this has the HD part numbers and measurements:

Might want to look at the 2002-2008 XL1200R bars. .5" higher, 4" wider and 1.5" more pullback.

Look like the 1200R bars can be had for $67.49 here:

After you decide how much pullback you need, check eBay for handlebars. You can find some for cheap. They don't have to be Harley brand as long as they are 1'' in diameter. That's what I did.
