Ex-demo. What should I be looking for?
Hey guys
Im from Australia and was going to buy a 2012 xl1200c in red for $17,995 but as of today my local dealer is selling their black 2011 demo model for $15,450 and has around 350km on it.
What should I be looking out for because it's ex demo and probably been flogged. Leaking oil from rocker covers? for example. I don't really know what problems to look for
Thanks in advance

Wow you guys pay crazy prices there (USD? sorry I don't know what currency you use).
For me, I am very **** about break in, and would never buy anything used, and would pay the extra. That said you probably don't have anything to worry about, the warranty will start from the day you drive it off the lot. Hopefully it wasn't flogged for the first 60 miles.

I bought my 2010 RK new, but since it was Scarlet Red, and no one wanted that color, it sat on the floor for nine months. It had 50 miles on the odometer when I signed the papers so it was test ridden more than a few times. I have no history as to how it was ridden during those early miles (probably hard), but I can say that 8K miles later the thing runs absolutely perfect. Zero issues. If you proceed with this bike I'm confident your experience will be the same.
