Default Scuff in paint...black denim 883??

So from the day i picked up my iron it had 2 very small scuffs in the tank. The dealer said if I couldn't get them out to bring it back and the would buff it out. I took some polish with sealant to the spots and got no success. I see that after some research your not supposed to take any product to this paint. So how do they expect to get it out??

If the tank goes shiny are you supposed to just take some dish soap to get it back to normal???

The fail side to the denim paint is that It's totally unrepairable. Just leave it be.

Why didn't you take it back to the dealer if they offered to fix? They knew they can't buff it out. They could of given you a new tank off the floor or re-painted yours.

It sounds as though they were hoping you would just forget about it.
