There was a time that you could buy a Harley... ride it and then sell it for more than you paid... not anymore...

Everyone expects the Buddy discount.

You always loose on aftermarket parts.

You can put the bike back to stock and try selling the goodies.

You will do best in the local paper when the weather breaks.

 

personally I think it's a great price. I bought my 2006 883L in may of last year and paid msrp. The same dealership is selling the 07 883L's with the laced wheel option for 8ish right now (no stage 1 or pipes included). The 06 883L was a popular seller last year and there weren't many left on dealer floors when 07's started to come in. I think you'll get your price. I do think you should wait about a month or so though. then it will be a seller's market. best of luck.

I wouldnt drop at all on the price. I think it is right where it needs to be. Just hold on to it till the first really nice day you have in spring. Then list it in the paper..I cant see any reason on why you couldnt get your asking price.

We bought the wifes 06 883L for 7k last year. It came with the windshield and bags. The bike had 40 miles on it and was returned because of a medial problem by the previous owner. So the bike was considered used by the dealer.

 

It all depends where you are locatedandit especially isn't worth much here. Everyone knows of all these deals and why they shouldn't buy yours. Advertise it wherever you can and be calm. Most areas riding season hasn't even started. It will sell, you'll get your price.
