the girlfriend said she liked the eagle, so I was a smart *** and made it into a necklace for her. haha the only points cover I saw and liked was a pointed one, but it was more than I was willing to pay.

Honestly, there's nothing better than a home made part, it makes your bike unique, and personalized. Good for you!
yeah, I ended up making my own forward controls because I couldn't find any to match my "unique" style haha. Same thing with the fork brace cover, kickstand, coil mount, etc.

Kind of interesting with the red accents, very unique. Better than LTR. Wow, that is a big headlight, you get to lead the pack for sure.

A buddy gave me a LTR gas cap/cover and the minute he left my house I shitcanned it and put my old stock one back on. That crap is lame.

I dunno, just about anything is better than those "live to ride" eagles, well, the knockoff "eagle spirit" covers might be worse.

haha, yeah it had some of those eagle spirits too. I'll have to gather up all the eagle parts and take a pic, there were quite a few, even the handlebars and pegs had eagles on them.

here's the most recent pic, compared to one taken about three years ago. Pretty much all I'm going to do to it until next winter.

Heh heh, now she can't say you never give her anything!

Ya know, for those of us new to the scene, the eagles aren't as played out. I don't mind them, though I don't feel like I'm "RTL, LTR".

The RTL eagles are kind of weird, when I was looking for my last bike, and I even remember 10 years ago when I was helping a friend look for his, if the bike was covered in those RTL eagles it was either a low mileage garage queen that the guy never rode, or a bike that had some serious miles put on it, usually by a long time rider. Nothing in between.

Nothing personal to anyone who likes them, if that's your style, fine by me. I have no room to talk as I have a Willie G skull on the back of my sissybar, which is considered as "played out" as it gets.

You should post them to the classifieds section, I would, there are still people buying them. There must be, I still see various covers in catalogs and in bike shops.

yeah, I've had the bike 12 years, and the RTL stuff didn't really bother me until a couple years ago, and then I started taking it off. I really don't have much in the budget for the harley so I do stuff when I can. I've found that my riding style and comfort has changed dramatically in 12 years as well as my tastes.
