Default Torx size for 2005 XL1200R shocks?

Does anyone know what size Torx wrench is needed for the removal of shocks on a 2005 XL1200R? I'm swapping out for the 1200S shocks - woohoo!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry, I don't know the sizes, but if you haven't, I'd suggest you swing by Sears or Harbor Freight or maybe an auto parts house and pick up a torx set that fit with your socket ratchet. They are quite a time saver. While you are at it, get the allen head set as well.

The top torx on the 04's is a T-50 and the lower is an allen a 8mm, 5/16.

Thanks Greywolf! I will assume (uh, oh!) that the 2005's are the same size. Now it's off to Home Depot!

Many thanks to all who responded to my question on the Torx wrench size for the shocks on my 2005 XL1200R. It indeed is a T-50, and I just got back from Home Depot where I bought a 7-piece 3/8"-drive set of Torx wrenches for $13.00 - the largest being the T-50!

Again, many thanks for all your input and each of your replies!

All I remember is that I had two sets and it was the size larger than the largest one I had. Wound up buying the one that fits on your socket wrench. $7.95 for one socket. Glad you got yours fixed. Art
