If you have enough money, almost anything is possible, but adding ABS to a Sporty isn't going to be cheap or practical. Do you know that goes into making up an ABS system?

No I don't, but the stock brakes are really horrible, how can I enhance them?
If its going to be extremely expensive so I'll skip the ABS.
R there any cheeper ways?

Look around. I'd guess you can find real brakes for that bike for sale.
If not, adapt some sport bike brakes.
I have 4 piston Brembo Gold calipers squeezing A+A rotors on mine, but the only Harley parts still left on the bike are some of the engine and most of the frame - it's a street tracker.

For the front brake, the XR1200 4 piston caliper is a direct bolt-on replacement. I think is available on-line in the states for around $180.00.

If there are wreckers there see if you can find an 883R or 1200 Roadster with a good front end, you can take both front forks, the front wheel, all lines and the "T" and the larger master cylinder & reservour and bolt them directly on yours. You might get an even better deal if you offer to give them your old stuff in exchange.
My Roadster has great brakes right from the factory.

ABS brakes are so nice. Some people can do better then ABS, I'm not one of those people nor will I pretend to be.
