Default Mooneye Air Cleaner on my Sportster

Hello,

I just got and installed the Mooneye Louvered air cleaner and I dig it! I spent about $40 including shipping. This air cleaner works better than my old Wimmer forcewinder that costed $450 to the previous owner of the bike, and than my old bob style and cheap Debrix cool-looking air cleaners.

Install was a breeze, about 5 minutes with taking a break (I don't drink beer). If you order that product, be sure to order the backing plate that is sold separately on their website! I had to wait another week to be able to put the whole thing on my bike.

When I say it performs better, that's what I mean: the engine has much more response than with any other air cleaner I had before, and doesn't sputter as much as it used to.

On a side note: the air cleaner is about 5" OD, which clears out the engine nicely and is about 3" deep, which leaves plenty of space for me to keep my legs against the tank.

Pretty cool looking. What are you using for breather bolts?

Also, where'd you purchase the AC?

very cool, I like the lowered stance of your bike. My gf would kill me if I told her to sit on a suction cup pillion pad. haha

Hey John,

I got a bracket that functions with integrated breathing systems so that I don't have any ugly hose hanging out there. I got something like this:
http://www.debrix.com/Chrome-Billet-...34-0694-vt.htm

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHROME-BILLE...ht_1259wt_1167

I bought mine from the eBay guys. Might want to ask them if they expect new stocks. Debrix is out too...

I purchased the AC from MOONEYES here: http://www.mooneyesusa.com/
The website seems to be down at the moment.

Vooney,

What size engine? Also, do you know what K&N filter replacement would fit?

Looks good.

It's an 883C and I haven't researched what K&N filter might fit yet. I'll let you know!
