Forty-Eight Stage 1 Setup
Hello everyone,
I'm thinking of getting V&H Shortshots, Screamin Eagle Stage 1 intake that's supposed to fit inside the stock housing, and a fuel pak.
My dealer advised the shortshots wouldn't really help my performance they'll just be really loud. They also suggested that the fuel pak is'nt a good idea and to get their Screamin Eagle race tuner for 2x the price.
I'm looking for a setup that will really help my top end as the bike already has plenty of low end power, but gets weak close to redline. What parts does everyone suggest?

Get the SEPST like the dealer suggests. Check online you can probably get a better deal. If you make any changes in the future like heads and cams, the SEPST will allow you to retune for these items as well.
Get the cables and software and you can use the smart tune feature and tune the bike yourself, saving whatever the dealer is going to charge you to tune the bike. Oh, if you get the software, it comes with the same stage one download that the dealer is going to sell you.
