Default Forward controls, mid pegs?

I put forward controls on my bike, and a friend said I should leave pegs on the mid posts for different place to put my feet on long rides... It looks a little weird. So I took them off. What do you all think?

I went from mid to forward. I put my feet on the passenger pegs sometimes.
I didn't think you could have mid pegs with forward controls. Can you post a pic of the right side.

I took the mids off but on my 95 evo you can have both at the same time.

I thought the mount for the right peg would interfere with the brake linkage.

On my bike, the mount for the peg sits above the linkage. You can see the mounting screw with the washer above the linkage. I added the screw and washer where the foot peg mount normally goes just to fill the hole...

Jim thanks. The only reason I'd like the mid mount pegs is to occasionally stand up for RR track bumps and occasional dirt roads. Hard to stand on the forward pegs. I might get the bolts and try to mount them.

It's a little more involved if you want mid pegs and forward controls on an '04 and up rubber mount. JimA has a solid mount frame.

Wouldn't the mid peg support on the left interfere with the forward control shift linkage?

Hey everybody. This is obviously my first post. I usually just read but I finally decided to join.

I have always thought about getting forward controls on my bike. Can you give me an idea of how much it would cost to have installed? I have a 2000 XL1200 Sportster. Also, would you recommend highway pegs or forward controls? Thanks in advance.
