Default xl883, red oil light, won't start

I have a 2007 Sportser XL883
I left it out all winter, like normal, except that I did not take out the battery as I normally would - because I intended to buy a new battery anyway.
Tried to start it. Lights, blinkers etc. work fine, but absolutely no response when I try to start it. The red oil light displays, but the oil looks fine, DIAGS are fine, and the battery is fine.
Amy suggestions?

Dead Battery.
The Oil light is normal and indicates lack of oil pressure. You can't have oil pressure unless the motors running.

I had this problem also. I threw a new battery in and still had the problem. Engine seemed seized or something. It eventually turned over.

Quick test, if your have a DC Volt meter - attach to the battery, note the static voltage, turn ignition on - note voltage, attempt to start the bike - note voltage. If the battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts, needs to be charged or replaced. If your batt is 5yrs old - just replace it. You don't want to be stuck on the road................
