This conversion doesn't look too difficult as a swap, but I've got a quick question.

Can I modify my stock 1999 Forward Controls and use them for Mids, or will I need to swap them out entirely for Mids?

Some parts are interchangeable, but not many. Don't lose anything, you'll probably want to go back.

 

Never going back! Lol, with clipon bars forward anything become useless. My build will be a hardtail hotrod

 

The only things you'll use from the forwards are the pegs & peg tension washers. The mids take different mounts & attach just infront of your kickstand position on your cover....From the picture, you can see one of the allen head bolts on the flat mounting surface just under the shifter peg that exits the primary cover.
