Freeway Riding. I'm DONE!!!

I love night riding on mountain roads. I often go faster than in daylight. The headlights warn me well in advance of any oncomming cars. I know bambi is out there, but bambi is there in the daytime to.
I try to avoid the interstate, because its boredom, but nomatter where I'm at I ride like the invisible man. I assume no one well see me or cut me any slack. That's one of the things I love about riding. When I ride, its just me and the bike. I don't think about work, wife, anything. It's like meditation. It clears my head. It's just me and the bike.

is it a bad idea to get a dual carcam that you can report these guys to the authorities? link here
I got one for $100 and is there in case of really stupid drivers and or accidents, my bike is un-insurable as full coverage insurance only pays half it seems a waste of money but a carcam can stop lies in their tracks.
Just pointing out the obvious.

I have been riding hwy for years and have close callz all the time..I live with them and ride very aggressively. I own the road and make my presence known. Loud pipes do save lives, and why guys want to make there bike quieter is beyond me ie, get a bike thats not a Harley. Hang in there and ride it like you stole it.

WTF? so your saying only harley's are loud? I had a cbr600 that was louder than any harley I have every heard. I actually got props from dudes on harley's for the sound my cbr was putting out. And riding your bike like you stole it will end up getting you killed. Your either a troll or know nothing....i am leaning toward the latter.

Like DK said, each type of riding has its own challenges. Last spring, I did about 100 miles on I-10 in Florida and it was a nightmare. 80-85 mph to keep up with traffic and semi after semi... I had enough. Got off and took the 2 lanes as much as possible after that. For me, on my Dyna, I prefer the back roads - even with increased critters, etc.

I avoid highways except when I am going for rides. In Houston we have the high occupancy lanes which are opened for motorcycles. Always see a lot of riders there. However, I don't ride to work except on Saturday or Sunday when I am working over time. To me the risk is not worth. We have the worst traffic and the worst drivers here. I know people ride their bikes to work to save money so I know it's a dilemma for some.
