Default Drilling frame for spring seat pivot mount?

Just got my LaRosa spring solo seat today. Original plan was to make a mount that goes to the tank mount as in Mreed's thread. The seat came with a decent looking mount i was wondering if i could utilize. Is the frame thick enough in this area to drill and tap? Might even be able to sneak a nut up in there with the battery out as long as there is nothing on the underside in that area. Or am i best off just going from the tank mount?

Cool brkt & cool idea. You'll be ok. Just make sure there are no wires beneath there when you drill through.
