Default Internal wiring mini apes

Hi I am hoping someone can answer a few questions for me? I am installing some z bar mini apes on my iron, and wondering about running all the cables inside them.i was told it could be done but that I would need to change my grips for the throttle control?.can anyone explain to this chick who is just learning ?

Normally, just the wires are run inside the bars, as in, the wires that go to the switches and buttons on the controls. The clutch cable, brake line, and throttle cables are still run on the outside of the bars, they aren't able to make sharp bends without binding.

I can tell you, for my 06 custom anyway, that these Sportster Sport bars are the absolute limit on height/width/pullback that you can get away with using the stock cables and wiring. I had to reroute my clutch cable outside of the front end, and I had to release and rebend my brake line (slightly). Throttle cables are ok, wiring is about at it's limit unless there is more bunched up under the tank.

They seem comfortable after a quick ride last night before I started to get rained on, slow speeds will take some getting used to, I rode with my drags for 1000 miles last month, so this is a change for me.
Well, I tired, but couldn't get comfortable with these bars. Height and width was OK, but the pullback put the grips at an angle that just didn't work for me. If anyone else is wanting to try bars like this, and doesn't mind a used set, send me a PM.

I have the bad boys on my bike and I really have come to like them.

Just an option
