Default Bought my new 2010 Iron! (pics)

Yup, I am super excited.

I took an MSF course but I haven't rode this bike yet and still need to get confident on it before I head out into traffic.

First bike ever and I'm really excited. I love the way it looks and the sound of pipes is much better than I thought they would be.

Only bad news is that after getting the bike "delivered", I went out to start it up for my wife.

click click click click.

It's like the battery is dead or a bad solenoid or something. The previous owner said he'd fix it up for me. Either replace the solenoid or battery or whatever it is.
We'll put it on a battery charger tomorrow.

Nice lookin' scoot.

Do me a favour, though: flip those mirrors so you're not staring at your shoulders.

Sounds like it is just the battery. If you charge it you will probably be up and running just fine.

I like that idea, and was looking at mine, but it appears like the mirrors will hit the tank at full lock if flipped. Does the iron have a smaller tank than a regular xl883?

I only have knowledge on the Iron (which I own). What I can tell you is go out to your bike and try it. It was the easiest "mod" I made to my bike. You can go play with it for less than 5 minutes and will have found out it won't work and have it back to normal. Or will have made it into something you prefer.
(post should be read in a tone of encouragement and not chastisement)
