Default Post your home built exhaust

Did some searhcing and found a few scattered pictures, but it would be nice to get them and more in one thread.

Im contemplating on building my own exhaust and looking for some more ideas so I'd like to see more of what some other people have done. Post em up!

Gonna be watching this one. I am getting a real strong itch to build a loud, obnoxious, radical 1 of a kind 2-1 from scratch.

For those concerned...down here in Mississippi the last thing on anyones mind is to complain and get more laws made...so I won't be contributing to any noise enforcement that goes on...it's a different world here than on the two coasts. lol

I will probably be doing one over the summer... I have a design I like that is like $1200. ya, I'll do my own... my wife wanted me to make a set that brought the rear out to the left then even our the back just beyond the tire... It would be unique, but I don't think it would be for me. I will be watching this thread though... thanks

There are allot of guys on here that have made their own exhaust and documented it, (i can't find them at the moment) I'm sure they will chime in soon. good luck man. I went down that same road once but stopped when I realized I was over my head cuz I never welded a thing in my life. lol.

A buddy of mine fabbed this set up for my 90 rigid sportster. The front exhaust follows the bottom frame tube. From a distance it looks as if the exhaust is part of the frame itself. I picked up the fish tails from a local swap meet for $50. The set up is great and it sounds even better.

heres my thread you may have found in your search...i bought a welder and did this as my first project...i absolutely LOVE this exhaust! ive put about 1k on it and the only thing is the paint is starting to flake near the engine...i want to remove it and have it ceramic coated now...i didnt want to spend the $ on the coating til i knew it would hold up and liked how it sounded...
