Fork sag on jiffy stand?
I noticed my forks wouldn't even top out on the jiffy stand with stock springs, and even now that I am running Progressives, it still like to come to rest so to speak at something like 1/2" sag with no additional weight on it. I am running the full length spacer they provided, and since the two spacers were a slightly different length I even added a washer or two to equalize them. Just wondered if it was all Sportsters or more an issue with the lowered bikes.
I can top out the springs after it's on the stand and it will pretty well hold it, but not with any force. Annoying. I think I'll be looking for even stiffer rate springs for next riding season.

What is the sag with you sitting on the bike? That's what matters. Should be 1/4 to 1/3 of your total travel.

I suppose I should correct sag properly, but I think it would require new springs to do it right so I'll live with it for now. I wouldn't think I'd also have to set sag on a riderless bike. lol
It's at least 1/3 right now if not 1/2, but 100% better than stock springs. Gees I'm only 210'ish, but the extended forward controls from mids swap definitely didn't do the forks any favors.

Ya it's a good idea to take before and after measurements when making suspension changes. That way you can see what has changed. I'm not sure how you'd do it with gators, but I like to tie a zip tie on the fork tube to see how close I am getting to the end of the travel. You want to get as close as possible without bottoming out.
