Default overflow into primary?

Will a blown head gasket on a 1991 sportster 883 with 1200 conversion, cause engine oil to leak into primary?

I'm still learning myself, but if you have a blown head gasket you should be able to feel a poof of air from the piston trying to get compression, but i dont think any oil should get past the oil scraper ring.

The head gasket is blown, but prior to finding this out, oil was transferring from the motor to the trans, overfilling the trans, and then being blown out the trans vent line. I was wondering if changing the gaskets, should this fix the problem? If not, is there an altenate problem/solution?

Think about this, blow by causing excessive pressure in crankcase , goes by crank seal on primary side,
And is your engine venting?
Did the ring end gap some how get lined up on all the rings?

But rings lined up would also cause less compression, not blowing a head gasket

rings O.K.. where the head gasket was blown was next to oil returns, (which incorparates crankcase vent). engine is vented, but head gasket issue could cause blow by into oil return?

Quite possible, compression into a oil passage would cause your problem, thinking you need to check the seal on the primary side also.

usually in this situation you would get alot of oil out of the breathers,if the breathers were not up to par or somehow stopped up (maybe with oil) then yes you can get engine oil into the primary...although I have never seen it happen....
