Default Seat mods?

I am considering some comfort mods on my Nightster solo and particularly Badlander seats, but I don't want to alter the profile much if ANY.

How does gel compare to memory foam or either to stock?

What would be most comfortable for the OL on the back of the Badlander short of a new seat?

Is there any way to move the riding position back at all with the Nightster solo?

Any cons to a leather upgrade besides cost?

About the only company I've seen that I really feel comfortable with doing the work is Mean City, and I could be wrong, but it seemed like they thought it might be difficult to keep the original profile on these already slim seats. I also don't like how a lot of the seats in their gallery turned out, but that's prob. because people like big ol couches. :x I'm hoping someone has modded these two seats in particular and maybe find more options. Thanks!

Waste of money modding a stock seat.

Guess I want to waste my money then.

Some of these C&C's are pretty cool though. Like a Lo-Pro that shops short of the tank like the stock solo.

That looks pretty good. Can you compare to a Badlander by chance? More concerned with the pass. side. How is it on the fender paint? Still use the rear attachment location in the fender brace?

Can't speak for any of the sportster or badlander seats but I did have my stock Fatboy Lo seat re done by Mean City Cycles went with memory foam no gel and I can ride all day long in comfort on it as compared to 3-4 hours before the mod.

What was the turn around time or did you expedite? Can you tell at all by looking at the top side or did you have them add additional foam that is obvious?

I tried out a badlander seat on my bike and hated it. It does not look all that good and is like sitting on a plank of wood. For 2 up I got a used seat from a 09 1200C and it looks and feels better than the badlander. The HD sidekick in not a bad looking seat and feels alot better than the badlander.

Thanks man, just not willing to go with any larger footprint than the Badlander.
