Thanks guys, Mean City actually said it was hardly worth the effort to mod the Badlander like several have said. I did ask about modding it closer to a C&C Fastback, so we'll see. If not, I may have to just order the Fastback or similar.

The seat feels like it sits just a tad closer than stock, but nothing was said to move it back.

The seat comes up on my tank because it's the stock XL1200C custom's 4.5gal tank. Your seat will look just the same on your Nightster with the 3.3gal tank as it does now.

The cover looks just like it did when it was original. The material directly over the seating area is not glued down so it can give. The rest of the seat is tight.

Hey, Jackal.... Did you see barrygreen's thread? Check out the seat and the price: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/9464802-post1.html

Another vote for Mean City. I had them do both my seats and they did a great job. To me, it felt as though the seat came out a little thicker than stock but not by much. The difference in comfort though was night and day. I need to put a serious trip on this seat but for daily use, it's great. I also had them do some custom stitching and recover it with leather. Just keep it well conditioned and you'll be fine. Mine sits out in the sun all day and has held up great.
