The only difference between you and a repair shop is experience. Clamp a bolt into a vise and practice. Center punch to prevent the pilot bit from wandering. A couple drops of oil wouldn't hurt. Worst case scenario, you gotta Heli-coil the bars (assuming you're installing bars with built in risers). They're worthless as they sit. Might as well give it a go.
