Default Being Seen

Hi Guys, does anyone use a headlight modulator to be seen more. I was thinking of buying or making a headlight modulator. I was looking on the internet and a guy says that he can send the plans to make a modulator for your headlight for 10 bucks and the parts at Radio Shack will only cost another 10 bucks. What's up? They want 100 bucks for something that costs only 10 bucks to build. I'm not above giving someone money for a profit. I definitly want to be seen during the day. What kind of modulator is best or do you use?

Don't use one. I ride with my high beam on during the day.

Wouldn't use one if it was given to me and installed for free, They're distracting [NOT the same as "being seen", Wanna bee "seen"? Use your high beam] and I think they're gay as a parade.

High beam, a set of motolights, etc.=much better choice.

I believe headlight modulators are illegal in some states.

...so that's what those damned annoying things are. I always wondered if it was intentional or if they had some seriously out of balanced wheels.

(1) I wouldn't hack into my wiring w/$10 parts to see if I can get the headlight to fluctuate & (2) modulators are very annoying...

Do the "free" option & ride w/hi beam...JMO.

Check out this article on motion camouflage as it relates to motorcycles: http://www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk/inde...&pageId=146841

I don't believe that pulsing lights or riding with you brights on is going to help you be seen during the daytime. Its all about how you ride knowing risks and basically acting like everyone in a cage is trying to kill you.
