I was disappointed when I got the "Skid Lid" brand helmets I ordered for my GF & I. I was thinking they would be much more like my novelty helmet than my other 1/2 helmets, (as this would be my third different half helmet that I own). Mine was pretty much identical to my other two halfs, which also gave me the slight mushroom look.

I can't remember the other two brands.....One was from the HD dealership, and the other was a gift from an ex-GF.

Got my Skid Lid last year. It looks great in the box, but I look like a Mushroom Head with it on. I can't wait to get rid of it.

No such thing as a good looking DOT half helmet, it does not exist. Best you can do for a half shell is a skullcrush (pictured), if you need DOT, just get a 3/4 or FF.

I wear my Bell Star FF most of the time, but enjoy the skullcrush half lid when it gets real hot.

I like my helmet, as seen in my sig. I got mine from a local Honda dealership. It started out a pearl white which matches my 02 but it got scratched up so I repainted it black. I think I paid about $40 for it a few years ago.
