Any Ideas for My Girlfriend's Sporty? Pics and Suggestions.
This is my beautiful girlfriend, Tracye and this is her 2006 883 Sportster. She bought it last year and she wants to change it up. She wants it blacked out, lowered, and a change in handlebars. Please give me suggestions. I was thinking of mini apes or something similar to the Nightster or 48's bars. Please send pics and suggestions. I have only had big twins and haven't messed around too much with Sporty's. All input appreciated. No idea is too big or too small.

Thanks but she wants it blacked out because it isn't chrome. Its the satin look and she wants it black. She doesn't like the handlebars that are on there. I don't either. They are buckhorn style that angle down at the hands. Looking for either a mini ape, 8 or 9 inch rise or a cross between a drag and bmx style bar.

The bars I put on my '07... http://www.jpcycles.com/product/503-868
The shocks in the picture are 11" Ultimas...I have since changed to air shocks. You can see the low profile tail light and lay-down plate holder as well.

I second that - I'm more into the subtle changes myself. I agree the bike looks great already too...it just needs some minor tweaks to polish it off. Just my opinion, but high bars would kill the classic lines of the bike. Blacking out some components would look nice as well if desired.
