Welcome to the Forum from Land Between the Lakes Tennessee, just west of Music City USA!! I am sure you will have lots of great times with your Dad and if you can ride it when he first sees it, he will be stoked to go for a ride with his Son. My Dad and I have ridden together for 25 years and I wouldn't trade a minute of any of it for anything! Congrats!

I agree taking the class is worth it 100% they teach you important things, things that I would never hae tried. When I bought my bike It was the first 2 wheeled machine I grew up with quads and three wheelers so I knew the clutch. My wife also did not know about my bike purchase I had actually got turned down at one dealership the day she went with me than the next at another sealer I got approved and she found out when I came home on a new sportster.

Congratz. My wife and I took a safety course a little over a year ago. She had gotten a scooter and I had a chance on a good deal for a sports bike. Since then she has traded up from the scooter to a Ninja, and I traded in my sport bike for my Forty-Eight.
We both were not sure what we wanted to begin with, taking the course then finding something to learn to ride on while we looked for what we wanted was the best route for us.
Now if I could only convince my wife that she was wrong about the Ninja, that she actually wanted a Harley it would be perfect. She grew up in a Harley family.....what is wrong with her
???
