Dented fender

Dented fender
Hey guys, had a rainy day today and kicked down my kickstand on a slipper surface and dropped my 883. It dented the top of the rear fender with about two creases and scratched paint. Is the dealership my only option? Or are there cheaper alternatives? I heard that the denim black is hard to deal with and I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to get a new fender than to have that dent repaired. What do you guys think? How much am I looking at minimum?

Avoid the dealer. Yes, the denim will be hard to match, but take it to a bodyshop. Most new places have cameras where they can match the paint perfectly. The dealer will just be a rip off, plus - they sub-contract so it will take even longer. Find a good "small" bodyshop to take it to. confide in them and the rest is history.

Thanks for the quick response bro, seeing that dent was really painful today and I was starting to wonder if It would be cheaper to just buy another fender [which i found a primed rear for about 150] but I'm assuming after its mounted and painted its going to cost far more than a dent repair.

That would be nice I am in LA county San Gabriel Valley to be specific but i'm willing to travel for a shop thats more reputable.

Yeah - Ask the dealer who they use or find a body shop that you are comfortable with. If your local auto body shop can't fix it, I bet they can refer you to someone that will.
