thanks, the only thing that stopped me from getting one of the newer tachs with the shift light was the money, it's kind of tight for me right now, but yes, this is easily programmable to go off at any RPM you want, I set it up for 5500 RPM and the needle works like a tach and there is a orange shift light on the right. In a few years I might end up getting the 2-5/8" tach.

thanks for the compliment StreetFighter, ofcourse half the reason I installed it was to dress up the bike.
