I have the H-D 18" quick release but keep it on all the time, as I do a lot of highway riding. Reduces fatigue and is a great bug collector, rock and debris deflector. I like the way it looks, too.

I have the 18" HD Sport quick detachable as well (PN: 57838-08). I'm 6'1" and can just see over the top of it:

The HD one was discussed in this thread as well:

National Cycle Deflector. No QR (takes 2 min), but I leave it on full-time. I have it at more of an angle since I took this original picture, since found that a different rake reduced turbulence.

Thumbs up Windshields, who needs them?

Good question,
My original 2008 1200 C came with HD sport shield seen here:

After a few 400 mile day trips for work I opted for the HD full shield here:

My recommendation is go for the larger shield, it snaps off (for good or bad) & makes the ride much more comfortable.

.

I have the HD quick detach. I prefer the bike without weenie shield, but it's necessary in the winter, and on long trips. Plus on the trips, you can quickly take the thing off and put in hotel room before anybody else sees that fugly thing. It comes off in literally seconds, and leaves behind no mounting hardware. It works well.
