I'll second that, brakes have come a long way and if your riding that hard you need to consider why your on a Harley.

This ties back into my helment question, who you are, your history and why you ride any particular type bike.

I've heard many riders here have a few bikes, Harley's are not for tearing around like you stole it.

IMO.

Actually, that depends on if you spend your money on the "Look Good" gadgets or the "Go Fast/Stop fast" gadgets.

You can get good power out of a Harley, that's no doubt. However, it will never ever be able to compete with an oversquare inline 4-cylinder like the Jap manufacturers put out (think 600cc or 1000cc sportbike putting out 150hp stock).

It's just not within the laws of physics. Too much reciprocating mass with too much extreme travel on the shaft. It's the way the engines are designed. Low maintenance, high torque, smooth throttle and efficient cruise. Harley's do what they were built to, eat the miles. They were never meant for the racetrack.

Just want to put it out there i am just a cruiser im not tearing up the streets and that was never my intention. I just wanted to know what would be the best stock replacement for the front brake pads and if it added to the stopping power. The pads you guys mentioned i will be getting shortly . Thanks for all the info!
