Default Sundownder Seat deal..should I do it??

After looking at the sundowner bucket/passenger seat from another thread here the last day or so, I started to consider getting one of those. Then today, I got an email from my local stealer, another 20% off all in stock items this Saturday. I have a buyer for my Passenger Pillion, and between the discount, and selling the pillion it will be about $160 out of pocket (including sales tax). I've checked, they have the seat in stock and have it on hold for me to pickup on Saturday. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Any input from sundown owners??

I have a sundowner, I love mine. Have had it about a year now, no regrets. I took a 3 hour ride on Monday with no stops, got home climbed off, no aches, no pains...

I've had a Sundowner on every bike I've owned. Hell yes, do it!

Much, much better than the stock POS. It looks quite a bit wider on my 1200R, but looks be damned, my tailbone couldn't take the stock seat.

When Im on the Sport's stock seat for, lets says, 2 or 3 hours, my lower back starts to get stiff. The Mustange Wide Vintage with back support will do it .. but man that price tag is big.

If you spring Sportypig, can you let us know if the Sundowner give some extra lower back / butt support ?

Thanks man !

the sundowner is a very good seat, very happy with mine. I havn't tried other seats to compare but I don't think for the money you can't beat it. I wouldn't get rid of mine. my wife would only go for short rides with the stock seat, now we have gone 3 hours plus without the seat bothering us. I feel it got better as the seat breaks in.

I've only had mine on the bike for about 3 weeks and I love it...It took a little while to get used to the different feel, but after a couple of hours I really like it. The wife prefers the passenger seat on the Sundowner over stock, no question. Well worth it in my opinion.
