The best thing I've bought since the bike.A big improvement over stock. Well worth the money.

I have the Mustang Vintage Solo and am very happy with it, but from what I've heard over the past couple of years, the Sundowner is hard to beat, especially for two-up riding.

When Im on the Sport's stock seat for, lets says, 2 or 3 hours, my lower back starts to get stiff. The Mustange Wide Vintage with back support will do it .. but man that price tag is big.

If you spring Sportypig, can you let us know if the Sundowner give some extra lower back / butt support ?

Thanks man !
Ok, here's the initial report on the Sundowner seat.

I picked up the seat yesterday as soon as the dealer opened their doors. Came home, and installed the seat. Of course I couldn't wait to feel the difference, so I threw a leg over in the garage. Initially, I was quite dissappointed. It just didn't feel right, and I thought it was going to be not that great of an improvement.

Then I got my chaps etc on for a road test. As soon as I was underway, and got both feet on the footpegs, (while still in the driveway) I was in love. Once I was in the riding position, the seat was shaped perfect, at least for me. I rode about 200 miles yesterday. I love this new seat! NO issues with lower back pain.

One note though for "vertically challenged" riders. This seat increases the distance from the seat to the ground. So, if you struggle to reach the ground this might not be a good option. In my case, that was actually an added bonus. I'm 6'1" and have NO issues with solid footing my bike. The only reason I bought the 883L instead of standard 883, was appearance. In my case, the added height actually contributes to a more comfortable ride. With the stock mid position footpegs and my leg length, I was actually a bit more "folded up" when riding. This added height allowed my legs to ride on the pegs in a more normal sitting position. (hope that makes since).

Well done sportypig. I lasted 200 miles with the stock seat and now have well over 5000 miles on the sundowner. It was the best add-on by far. I imported mine from chicago harley and it cost me £185 incl delivery and duties. It saved me £60 minimum from UK prices.

The seat I added is also the 2 up Sundowner. I rarely have a passenger, but want that capacity. I've already sold the passenger pillion that was previously on the bike, with the stock solo seat.

Was that directed to me?? The lights are stock...well, at least the front of the bike lights are stock. I've made some changes to the rear lights.
