Had a 69 sporty like that when I was about 18...... Took me longer to get used to the brake and shifter being on the wrong sides than the throttle not snapping back..........

That makes no sense...... It would be no different than you holding the throttle in the same position. Unless I'm missing something.........

What I later found out was that the bolts needed to be tightened up again. But I still never went back to the throttle lock

So is that star wheel DESIGNED to be used as a cruise control or is it's real purpose something else? I've always wondered why the hell it's there.

It works perfectly as a set it and forget it adjustment / cruise control with the light as hell stock rubber grips.

I think that's it's intended purpose anyway, and worked perfectly on my 08 N till grip swap.
