XL1200R custom paint job project
Decided to get a custom paint job. I chose Colormania to do the job. They have ample cred.
I had to remove the tank and fenders, box them up and send them off:
stock paint job:
the National flyscreen will go. I'm getting a HD factory headlamp visor (SOA style) to replace it.
Notice the service manual; I couldn't have gotten very far without it.
The metal is now at Colormania. Turnaround time is 3-4 weeks.
The new colors will be Calypso Red over Birch White, modeled somewhat
after the '57 Sportster. The tank badge will be '63-'65 style:
But the beige area will be painted Birch White to match.
I'll update with more pics when the time comes.

$85 shipped & paypal'd. Some light scratches, but overall in very good condition. I still have the instructions too. It knocks a good portion of windblast off your torso.

yes, great point, it isn't too late to pack those up and send them to get them included in that paint job, it would definitly be worth it IMO.
I currently have a set on order from HD to match my factory blue, they were $180 with tax, I figured it would proably cost $100 to have my stock black ones painted so I might as well just order them from HD.
