Default HD solo rack vs Motherwell

I am looking for a rack for a XL1200c. Can anyone tell me how the HD solo rack compares to the Motherwell rack? Size, quality, functionality?

First photo is a Harley rack on my Nightster, bottom photo is a Motherwell rack.
I have Motherwell racks on all my bikes.

Thanks,
Rod

I've had a Motherwell on my RK for the last 5 years and it looks like I just bought it.

Looks like I will be pulling the HD Rack on the wife's bike and replacing it with the motherwell rack. It looks so much cleaner.

I purchased the HD solo rack used from a forum member. The upside that I see with the HD one is that it has a docking system with 4 mounting points (same as the sissy bar mounts) so it would be stronger than mounting with the 2 fender bolts. So I guess it would depend on how much weight you are planning to strap to it.

Had I seen the Motherwell one sooner I might have went that route, it is cleaner looking.

I agree Canuck - My Motherwell is just used for carrying my rainsuit and daytrip items. The H-D unit would most likely be better for carring heavier loads with the plus of being able to add a sissy bar.
