Whose lifetime. Yours or the filters. If its the filters, what is the life expectancy?

Anyone have experience/stories about these?

I bought one that looks exactly like that, and I wouldn't spend the cash on one if I would have known what I know now.
I've had mine for 2 and a half years, and I like look of it, and the facts about how they perform, but the damn thing is pitting on the outside even though I keep my bike fairly clean. The pitting is only on the one side where it faces towards the ground. Once you can actually see the pitting, I'll go back to HD filters.

+1 - and don't forget the added time and mess involved with cleaning the filter.

+2 I mean just changing th oil and a normal filter can get messy-don't evern want to think about cleaning one of them out. Just stick with the normal HD filter and you will be just fine.
