I'm trying to plan out something similar, but do my own take on it. I know I can't afford a springer front end right now. Can anybody recommend similar bars? Not even sure what those would be called beyond speedster, which are springer only. I was also looking at the narrow beach bars.

Bigger question: anybody know of a similar tank? The one there is for older Sportsters, and more importantly, discontinued.

Your help and guidance is very much appreciated!

Don't know if you have a bike yet.
I got a 09 nighster listed in classified. Its stock except Mustang solo seat.

Another new question: the cole foster tank only fits 82-03? Would it be a big change to put it on a non-efi 04 or later model? I know the oil tank changed in 04 but I wonder what else did. Any ideas?

It will need to be retunneled. The 04 & up backbones are HUGE in comparison.

OP, sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread, I love that bike you're going after, best of luck with the build up.
Hey Mr. Twisted... there was a discussion a while ago about this topic.. I actually rerouted all the cables internally through the frame... it was such a painful process I am certain I cried a couple times... below is a link to the thread... in it I propose an alternate way to do it without having to drill the frame and route the cables through it (did I tell you how painful it is?.. :-) ... please notice that is was just an idea.. I didn't actually go that route.. but it is worth considering since it seems to be a lot simpler..

Here is the the specific entry about my alternate idea:

Happy riding!!..
