Got the call today.....
Well I got the call today....my brand new 2012 XL883N is ready for pickup at 8:30 am down at Ocean State Harley Davidson... same time I am scheduled to pick up my father's '08 XL1200L that he purchased for doing a trike conversion. So tomorrow I'm going to be a very happy XL883N owner (only took 3 months to get it in in the Ember Sunglo Red)
Pics to come.

Three things turned me far away from the Nightster. The rims, the grey engine color, and the price.
I'm handy with wrenches, matter of fact I've been doing most of the work on this little project for my father.....
He bought his '08 1200 Low, and then Frankenstien'ed it into a trike.
But the 883 Iron is a great platform to build a fast bike, figure $7999 for the bike plus $1200 to make it a 1200 or 1250, so your at $9199 versus $10499 for the Nightster, and I have yet to see a Nightster in Ember Red Sunglo.

Congrats on finally getting the bike ... July will be the 2 year mark for having mine and I love it more now then when I got it haha While the 883 is not the most powerful bike, I am perfectly happy with the power, I ride two up a lot and have no issues cruising at 100 mph on the hwy. Good luck with it and enjoy it
