Default Rear Rocker Box Leak

It got up to 56 degrees here today in Ohio. So I took my bike for about a 30 mile ride. I noticed my rocker box is starting to leak more than before. I also noticed the motor is hiccuping on up shifts, not all the time through. Would my rocker box be sucking air in to cause this. Its not a decel pop its a hiccup from the motor.

Anybody have any idea about this. Seems like the rocker box gasket would suck air in when leaking, wouldn't you agree.

It's pretty common on our bikes, search for it and you'll find a bunch of people with the same issue... in fact, you'll probably find the thread where i document having BOTH of mine replaced at different times.
I'm sure it's best not to run with a bad gasket any longer than you have to.
Hopefully yours is under warranty like mine was and all it'll cost you is your time to get it fixed.

wipe off area where oil is leaking with lacquer thinner then retighten valve cover bolts and see what happen, they leak there becouse oil lays in that area

as to sucking air in no.
but on harleys the motor has to vent and that is what blows gaskets out

I'd be afraid I would strip or brake the bolt all together. How much tork can those bolts take anyways. I have a shop manual but I'm at work right now.
