The belt pulleys hang way out there. The most common chain conversion uses a 530 and they're heavy. One thing you must consider is how much do you ride it? If you're putting any real miles on your bike expect parts to wear out. The shaft the pulley (or sprocket) attaches to is only supported on one side. I didn't watch that video, I was immediately annoyed about how important it is to get the right size wheel bearings...so I didn't see his front pulley but for your bike to live a long, trouble free life you'll have to have a shaft machined that extends through the pulley and has a right side bearing support.

Alot of these bikes with wide tires are for looks and hardly ridden.

Here's one I worked on. I like it...just causes problems.

Being an avid builder and rider like most of us here, it is very possible to do that type of conversion to your Sportster. It's just going to take money, time, going from belt to chain and lots of patience.
Take your time and build it right the first time. There are some decent kits out there to make your conversion.

Thought I'd throw in a pic of my fattie. The 1st reply was right, it handles like chit but I made this bike for shock value. My sport Cafe will have the original equipment all around.

not true... 180 should fit with minimal mods... anything larger and you'll need to start modding.

The orange and black one is the Sportster, the blue one is a Warrior which actually comes stock with a 200.

Hey, Guys, I'm a newbie on this forum and glad to be here!
Any of you out that have done the wide rear tire on a Sporty, have you found an available clean smooth front sprocket cover?
I'm not fond of all the empty holes not serving a purpose. Any input is appreciated, Thanks in advance!
