Default Looking at a used Nightster

I am looking to get a used Nightster and I was wondering which year is the best to get.

All years are all good IMHO.

As for best year....maybe the year they moved the computer from under the seat to the frame rail. Maybe 2009 +.

In that year the rear fender did not have a square hole cut into it for said computer so it give you more seat and customizing ooptions.

Check fuse box for water intrusion if buying used.

I don't think they have really changed much over the past 5 years. I'd look for the best deal you can get with the least amount of miles possible. Another route would be to find one that has had some mods done that you might want done, it might save you a little money in the long run. They really haven't changed much (I wish they would change the stock shocks), so the year doesn't matter much. I'd look for the one with the lowest mileage that's in the best shape. Just my $.02.

Here is what they were talking about with the ECM located in the fender of an '07. I have since changed tins to a '11 set and relocated the ECM to the battery compartment.

That old ecm placement was one of the dumbest things Hd ever did. Bunch of idiots....
