The reason your lights don't work is probably because when the lowering block broke your tyre scrubbed the wiring under the fender. Throw those blocks away and save until you can afford new shocks. Better still, leave things alone!

I've been running Tamarack Machine Works blocks on my '04 since 2008 & over 40K miles with no issues...here is a link to what they look like for your '07:

+1 for Tamarack Machine Works lowering blocks, got them on my 48 and I've fitted them to several other bikes, never known a problem, they're not the cheapest but they're CNC machined from 6061 T6 heat treated billet aluminum and really are a great product!

Bingo! You win the big stuffed animal. Left rear running/turn signal wire was severed. Also found out that the rear brake light wasn't working because it was no longer grounded just hanging on the lower portion of the shock. Found that out after checking several other things. Pushed the lower portion of the shock back up to the frame and light works. Now I just have to repair the signal wires. New shocks will be one of the first buys of next year.

It may sound stupid to some but I really like having both feet firmly on the ground when I'm at a stop. The one inch drop the lower links gave me does exaclty this.

Very nice but a little more than I want to spend knowing I will get shorter shocks soon enough.

+2....I have over 20k on my Tamaracks including many rides below the freezing point and temps in the upper 90's....never had an issue. Great customer service too. The owner was answering emails on a weekend via ebay within an hour after I sent them when I was first setting up my bike. Can't beat that!
